Edit Notifications – iOS and Android
There are two types of notifications that you can turn off and on. App Reminders and Message Notifications. Here’s how to edit both of them.
App Notifications
1. Go to the Me Page, then click Settings.
2. Scroll down to Reminders
Find “Reminders” under APP SETTINGS and click Reminders.
3. Turn your reminders on or off
You can individually turn on or off all of these reminders. Reminders with a blue button (switch is to the right) are on. When turned off, the button turns grey and the switch goes to the left.
Message Notifications
1. Click the Message Center button on the Pacer Home Page
Click the small message center icon (a word bubble with “…” in the center). You can find it at the top right. You can also find this button at the top left corner of other pages.
2. Click Message Center Settings
Click the small gear icon at the top right of this page. This is different than the main Pacer app settings.
3. Turn your notifications on or off
You can individually turn on or off all of these message notifications. Reminders with a blue button (switch is to the right) are on. When turned off, the button turns grey and the switch goes to the left.
*** Make sure to save your changes before you leave by clicking “Save” at the top right!
Change Notification Settings – iOS Phone Settings
You can also turn all notifications on or off through your phone settings. This can prevent Pacer from giving you any notifications at all, and is easy to control.
1. Go to iPhone settings, then scroll down to Pacer
If your notifications are set to on, you will see a menu like this. Click “Notifications” to get to the notification settings interface.
2. Adjust your notification settings (or tap off)
This menu allows you to set specific notification types, sounds, badges and more. However, an easier way to remove all notifications is to simply tap the “Allow Notifications” button at the top of the screen. After tapping it once, the switch will turn to gray and the button will move to the left. Once you tap this and go back, all notifications from Pacer will be turned off.
3. Verify notifications are set to off
You’ll now see “Notifications” are set to “Off.” This means that Pacer cannot send notifications through your phone. You can always change this setting in the future.
Change Notification Settings – Android Phone Settings
Go to your phone’s settings, and find the Pacer app. Depending on your Android device type, the specific details may be a bit different.
Find the Pacer app, and disable notifications in phone settings. This should prevent Pacer from sending any notifications to your device.
Please check the iOS phone settings guide above as an example of what the process may look like.
