Hi Pacers! We’ve made some dramatic improvements to Pacer for Android. The home page is now much easier to navigate, while still keeping it quick and easy to view your steps. From our main home page, you can view your steps, click to enter GPS and workouts or scroll down to log weight or activities. We’ve also added new GPS modes for running, hiking and biking as well.
If you’re having trouble locating a particular feature or if you’d like to see what’s new, read on for screenshots and detailed descriptions of the changes. These great Pacer features are completely optional, they’re very useful so it’s good to know where to find them in case you need to use them.
*This update information applies to Android only. Many of these features are also available on iOS and appear in the same places, but please refer to our iOS guides for iOS-specific tips and information.

Pacer Home Page Improvements:
The home page has been redesigned to make it easier to navigate! Here’s what’s new!
Home Page:
The basic layout of the most important data hasn’t changed. It still shows your steps, calories, active time and distance.
GPS
One of the major changes is that you can now more easily jump to GPS walk tracking or Pacer’s workouts without leaving the home screen.
You can either click the GPS label at the top of the screen to jump to GPS or you can swipe left once for GPS. To get back to the home page, you can swipe right until you reach it, click Home at the top of the screen or press the shoe icon on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
New GPS Modes
We’ve introduced new GPS modes! In addition to walking, you can select hike, run or ride (bike) modes. The GPS tracking works the same for walk, run and hike, but Pacer will display slightly different information that’s more relevant to your specific activity.
Ride mode is special in that it disables step counting as you won’t be getting steps during your ride.
Pacer Workouts
You can either click the Workouts label at the top of the screen to jump to Workouts or you can swipe left twice for Workouts. To get back to the home page, you can swipe right until you reach it, click Home at the top of the screen or press the shoe icon on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
You’ll see walking plans (a Premium feature) at the top, or you can scroll down for additional workouts.
The top 4 workouts are available to all Pacer users, while the bottom 2 require a Premium subscription.
Log Weight/Log Activity/Check-in on Goals
To log your weight, manually add an activity or check-in on a goal, you now just have to scroll down on the main screen. Make sure you’re on the Home page, then scroll down. Click the appropriate icon to jump directly to that function.
Walking Programs
If you’ve joined a walking program (this is a Premium feature), you can view your daily workout by scrolling down a little more. Click Start to start today’s workout, or you can click the “…” at the top right of that section for more options.
Look back at a previous day
The look back function has been moved to this calendar icon at the top right of your screen. Click the calendar icon with today’s date to look back and check a previous day’s steps and other info.
Messages
The Message Center icon is now at the top right-hand corner and is represented by this talk bubble icon. You’ll find this icon on other pages as well, which you can click to jump to the message center.
Pause Steps
The pause steps button is still here on the homepage, but it’s been moved to the right side of the screen.
Preferences
You can jump directly to Pacer preferences by clicking this gear icon on the right side of the screen. For the main Pacer setting page, see Settings below.
Routes
You can also now jump directly to Pacer routes from the home page. Just click the “Routes” button in the middle of your screen.
Pacer Settings
Pacer settings has moved to the “Me” page. Click Me at the bottom left corner of your screen, then click the gear icon at the top right on the Me page. From here, you can change your Pacer units, change your Pacer step goal, update email settings and more.
